On December 7th Upstage Lung Cancer will collaborate with the scientists at Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research (KI) to make music where the science is.

Emmy Award-winning Arts and Entertainment Editor Joyce Kulhawik returns to emcee our 9th annual cabaret concert. This year, Candy O’Terry, Award- winning radio & television personality, singer & recording artist, and founder and former co-host of WMJX, Magic 106.7/Boston’s Exceptional Women radio show will add her vocal talents, along with a celebrated cast of Brian DeLorenzo, Hildy Grossman, and Paula Markowicz to create a powerhouse evening that benefits ground-breaking early detection of lung cancer. Lisa Rafferty, Director, and Tim Evans, Music Director, team up again to insure an unforgettable evening.

We are thrilled to partner with MIT’s Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research in investing in their Frontier Research Program. The goal is to create a new, reliable, non-invasive method of early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer. Upstage Lung Cancer and The Koch Institute are deeply committed to supporting boldly conceived, highly innovative, and highly collaborative research that all too often does not qualify for funding from traditional government sources. Proceeds from BIG BROADWAY BASH will be invested in potential life-saving technology.

This year’s musical salute to Broadway’s best will focus on innovation in arts and science. In addition, we will bestow our “FAN AWARD” on someone who has shown exceptional leadership in the fight for a cure. To round out the evening’s entertainment, there will be a silent auction and post-concert reception.
