Services & Impact

Thank you to all at St. Vincent de Paul!  You have been a true blessing to me.  The wonderful food, toiletries and gifts were a treat.  Most of all, the ladies who delivered this love were so sweet and kind.  They made me feel special.  Thank you for the generosity and dignity and expression of Christ’s love.”

For 80+ years, SVdP has helped to improve the lives of the working poor families and individuals, the homeless and hungry, the elderly, the incarcerated, and all those who have fallen on hard times.

SVdP’s Safety Net Program

SVdP’s Safety Net is our largest program, distributing $3.7 million in assistance . This aid is given through SVdP’s Peninsula Family Resource Center (PFRC), homelessness prevention and SVdP’s three Homeless Help Centers.

SVdP’s Restorative Justice Ministry

SVdP’s Restorative Justice Ministry (RJM) works to heal both the victim and offender, in order to regain the trust of the community. One of SVdP's RJ Ministries is SVdP’s Catherine Center, a residential safe home for women recently released from jail or prison.

SVdP’s Thrift Stores

SVdP’s Thrift Stores in Daly City, South San Francisco, San Mateo, San Bruno and Redwood City make available low-cost and no-cost quality goods. Distributing clothing and household goods to those in need, creating employmentand job training, and providing the community with a recycling program for both goods and electronics are substantial outcomes.
