Last year's Cruz Cares was a huge success with over 40 applicants, $20,000 in cash and prizes, and 200 attendees. The winners of the contest went on to pursue their ideas further. In fact, the 3rd place winner, Habitat for Humanity has since partnered with the City to match any funds they raise for the My House My Home project. So far, they've raised $50,000.
By contributing $25, $100, $250, or up to $1,000 you are allowing The Inspiring Enterprise to offer mentorship, services, and resources to social entrepreneurs in Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay for free, lowering any barrier in pursuing a new and innovative solution to critical social and environmental issues.
Cruz Cares is a pitch contest for nonprofit and for profit startups that are focused on solving a social or environmental issue.
