Istrouma High School is a public school founded in 1917 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. When it’s doors were closed in 2014 and post-flood in 2016, most band items were lost. With excitement of the return of this flagship institution in the fall of 2017, we have experienced great challenges but we are determined to restore and maintain the legacy of our school in it’s 100th anniversary!
Istrouma High Marching Band is an organization for students in the 70805 zip code that promotes school spirit and teaches vital leadership, citizenship, and musicianship skills! It is important to us that we impact the community positively every chance we get. We request your assistance in our pursuit of excellence and student achievement!
We have received quotes from $40,000 to approximately $130,000! This is from start up to a fully functioning program! We are not trying to solve this puzzle in our 1st year but there are some items (such as instruments, chairs, music, music stands, etc.) needed immediately!
