Murph: The Protector

Movie Screening

Come experience a special screening of the film MURPH: The Protector at the National WWII Museum on Sunday, July 19. MURPH tells the real-life story of LT Michael Murphy, U.S. Navy Seal and Medal of Honor recipient.

This event will feature dinner, a viewing of MURPH on the big screens, a presentation by the film's director; a live performance by Jeff Widenhoffer, a VetLaunch accelerator alumn, who wrote, recorded and produced the soundtrack to MURPH; and veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars as Guests of Honor.

VetLaunch is a 501c3 nonprofit organization devoted to providing veterans the resources to effectively make the change from military to civilian life.

MURPH: The Protector is a feature-length documentary based on LT Michael Murphy's entire life of honor, courage and commitment as told by his friends, family and teammates.

LT Murphy was raised in Patchogue, New York, attended Penn State University and then joined the U.S. Nay to serve in the SEAL Teams. He gave his life for his men in 2005 and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor in 2007.
