One Sun Health: Winter 2014

Malaria is preventable. Join us in our fight to empower rural South African communities to fight this deadly disease through innovative health education and social enterprise initiatives.

For the past three years, One Sun Health has empowered community health workers to provide innovative malaria education programs to their communities in the highest-risk regions of South Africa. Although we have trained over 80 health workers who have educated over 900 community members to date, there are countless more families who do not have access to the basic educational tools necessary to prevent and effectively treat malaria. Next year, we aim to expand our impact to empower an additional 1,500 community members in the most hard-to-reach villages. Additionally, we plan to scale up the ENETI bed net production and broaden our target market with the creation of a South African business trust. In order to make this vision a reality, we need your support.
