There's a Hero in All of Us

Fiercly fighting the financial burdens of childhood cancer.

  1. Imagine, if you can, you have just heard four of the most devastating words a parent could ever hear, “your child has cancer.” Imagine the emotional toll those four words would inflict. The fear and uncertainty of what’s to come as you begin the fight for your child’s life. Questions about the future are flooding your mind. If you have other children, how are they going to cope, how am I going to support them as well?  Is my health insurance coverage good enough, will I be able to work and still meet the needs of my child? What about my mortgage, my electricity, my groceries? If we lose the house, where will we go?  Will I have to choose between electricity for the month or gas money to get my child to and from treatment. Will I have to count change to purchase that gas? Sadly, this is the reality that many of the families right here IN OUR OWN COMMUNITY are facing every day.

This fall, Heroes for Hope will begin a new initiative to assist families struggling with the financial burdens of childhood cancer. We will provide a flexible, timely, and comprehensive financial assistance program and a grocery pantry.

The top three things these families struggle with are rent/mortgage, utilites, and groceries followed by gas, hospital meals for parents and siblings, and hospital parking.

YOU CAN BE A CHANGE MAKER FOR THESE FAMILIES AND MAKE A DIRECT IMPACT IN THEIR LIVES and Heroes for Hope will help you do that!

Join us today and show these brave, yet vulnerable, families that "There's a Hero in All of Us"!

Thank you for your support!!
